Introduction

The Flip OEM API allows device manufacturers to integrate their energy storage systems with the Flip platform. Through this API, OEMs can register devices, report telemetry data, receive and execute commands, and manage site enrollments in energy programs.

Core Concepts

• Site — A physical location (typically a home) with one or more energy devices
• Device — An energy storage system (battery, inverter) registered at a site
• Enrollment — A site's participation in an energy program
• Command — An instruction sent to a device (e.g., charge, discharge)
• Telemetry — Real-time data reported by devices (state of charge, power output, etc.)
• Event — A demand response or grid services event that enrolled sites participate in
